Selling yachts
in the Adriatic,
new and used.

I am Sanja Božović. I sell yachts: new builds from the yard, and pre-owned boats on the secondary market, where the work is knowing which hull is worth buying. I represent Sanlorenzo and Bluegame in the region, and I run Montenegro Charter at Porto Montenegro — which is why I know what an owner lives with after the handover.

Three things I am asked to do

Most owners arrive with one of these and end up needing all three. They are handled by one person, which is the point.

01 / Buy

New build, and the secondary market

Most of my work is a sale: a new Sanlorenzo or Bluegame from the yard, or a pre-owned yacht found, surveyed and negotiated on the open market. On a new build I sit on the client side of the specification. On a used boat I sit on the client side of the survey, and I will tell you when to walk away.

  • Direct line into the yard, not a chain of brokers
  • Brokerage and listings for owners selling
  • Build times run one to three years depending on customisation
  • Resale position considered at spec stage, not at sale stage
02 / Charter

Chartering, and being chartered

Montenegro Charter has run charter out of Porto Montenegro for years. That works two ways: guests who want the Adriatic properly, and owners who want their yacht to earn between their own weeks without the boat being run into the ground.

  • Adriatic itineraries built around what is actually open that week
  • Crew, provisioning, berths, permits, formalities
  • Owner-first charter management, not maximum utilisation
03 / Fly

Private jets, and arriving

Private jet charter into Tivat, Podgorica and Dubrovnik — aircraft sourced to the group size and the runway, not to whatever is easiest to book. Then helicopter or car to the boat, and the ground layer around a visit: berths, villas, drivers, tables.

  • Jet charter, one-way and empty-leg positioning
  • Handling, slots and customs at all three airports
  • Helicopter transfer straight to the marina
  • Local fixing that only works if you live here

The record, with sources

Nobody should take a yacht claim on trust. Each item below links to where it was published, by someone other than me.

Representing Sanlorenzo in the region

Sells Sanlorenzo and Bluegame across the Adriatic, having built the client base in Montenegro and Serbia — two markets the industry had written off as too small.

How I got here

Not a career built in a showroom. It started at the operating end of boats — the part most brokers never see.

Beginning

A family boat, then Italy. The sea came first through the family's first yacht during her studies. Academic studies in Italy followed, then close to a decade living abroad before returning to Montenegro for a career in yachting.

Running a fourteen-boat fleet. The first job in nautics was managing a fourteen-boat charter fleet in the family business. Unglamorous, and the reason she can read a maintenance history and a crew roster.

Montenegro Charter. Founded her own company at Porto Montenegro and moved it up-market into crewed luxury charter, brokerage and private aviation for the Adriatic.

Sanlorenzo, covering Serbia and Montenegro. Joined the Sanlorenzo team and built the client base in two markets the industry had written off as too small.

Selling across the region. Now sells Sanlorenzo and Bluegame across the wider Adriatic and Central European markets alongside secondary-market brokerage, while still personally serving her original clients.

What buying one is actually like

A new build is one to three years of decisions. Here is the shape of it, so nobody is surprised in month eight.

01

Use case first

Where you will run her, how many weeks a year, family or charter, crew or no crew. The model follows from that, not the other way round.

02

Model and slot

Range, layout and an available delivery slot. Slots on the popular models move fast, and the slot often decides the year more than the specification does.

03

Specification

The long part. Materials, finishes, tenders, systems — and the honest conversation about which choices help resale and which only please you.

04

Delivery and after

Flag, registration, berth, crew, management — and charter if you want the boat to earn. This is where the charter company stops being a side note.

Check me before you call me

This is a business where anyone can print a title on a card. Everything here is independently checkable in about five minutes.

Why this page exists

A yacht purchase starts with one question nobody asks out loud: who is this person, and what happens to me if this goes wrong. So the answer is on the page rather than in a brochure.

I am listed on Sanlorenzo's own regional site. My company is registered in Montenegro and has a physical office at Porto Montenegro. My work has been reported by the regional nautical press. If you want to speak to an owner I have delivered to, ask, and I will arrange it.
